It was OK. The beginning and middle of the book was pretty good. Now the problem i had with the ending was it seemed like the author was squishing everything in at the end. It went from slow beginnings to a quick end. She put too much in the end. I wish she saved the wedding of her mom for the second book. She really rushed that end.

Twelve year old Willa has never had a father. So when her mom Stella Havisham decides to move back to her hometown of Bramble, Cape Cod, Willa hopes that she will finally be able to settle down. These dreams increase when the Poet moves in next door. But even the magic of Romantic Cape Cod can't seem to meet Stella's heart. It takes a lot of meddling, some mixed-up magic and a major wedding to make Stella see the light.

I'm giving this book 3 stars as an adult. I read this series when I was in 6th grade and loved it. It was one of the series that got me into reading. I became obsessed with everything to do with the series, from cherry cordials and saltwater taffy to poetry and giving my crushes weird nicknames. I wanted to be just like Willa. I definitely recommend this book for elementary or early middle school age readers, though this isn't a juvenile fiction book that translates well into a reread for

The wedding planners daughter is one of my favorite series. The books follow a young girl named Willa, named after a willow tree, and her single mother who is obviously a wedding planner. Throughout this story, we see Willa grow up, get closer to her mother, and be accepting of having another person in her mother's life.
