I am not sure bravery is something you acquire more of with age, like wisdom- but maybe here, in Dauntless, bravery is the highest form of wisdom, the acknowledgement that life can and should be lived without fear. wow! better than I expected, definitely adds a lot to thev divergent universe

3.5 - 4 stars! Not as exciting as the first two short stories, but definitely worth reading. "I will not be a pawn, not for them ... and not for my father; I will not belong to anyone but myself." The Son follows Four as he struggles to find his place in the hierarchy of Dauntless. We see him train for a leadership position mentioned in Divergent, and why he really made the choice of becoming an instructor instead. We gained nothing, every single plot point was a rehash of what was introduced in the series, particularly in Insurgent. Unless you count "Shauna couldn't get it out that she liked Zeke" as new information, which, considering how secondary both of them are, I don't.This novella does, on the other hand, show that Tobias knew about Jeanine's plans that unfold in the climax of Divergent two years in advance.
