This plot had so much promise but things just fizzled out. I barely felt any chemistry between the H/H. With too many characters I had a hard time keeping up as to who was who, doing what. I might try the next book in the series just to know what further happens. But not anytime soon.

WOW! When I started the prologue, I was beyond intrigued. I had to know where this particular branch of Vampyr story, was going to take me. The 1st 3 chapters had my mind blown already. Had me COMPLETELY grossed out & confused. Yet, I still could not look away. I didn't even realize I was sucked in til the "sucking" was almost over.This book is AMAZING! I mean I'm like... There is so much going on here. There is ALOT of set up. But everything that occurs is interesting. There is brutality

I think I read this book wrong. Several of my friends posted warnings in their reviews that this book and series were super super bloody and violent. This confused me, I didn't find it excessively gory. It's probably because I'm inured to such from reading and watching murder mysteries + I'm an evil axe wielding murderous penguin. Tessa Dawn has quickly become one of my favorite authors. Her style is full of emotion and I feel like I am living the story. Simply put, I love her books.
