The third in the series of the Chronicle of Brothers, this is the worst in the series. Throughout the book, there are sentences that a simple proofread could easily have caught for their awkward if not grammatical issues.

The story itself continues the tale of three mortal brothers (one of whom is the Anti-Christ) while paralleling the tale of Lucifer, Gabriel, and Michael in Heaven and Hell. While the story remains intriguing as with the previous two tales, the lack of proofreading in this one was to the point that the numbers of errors started to detract from the story itself.

If you read the previous 2 books, I recommend reading this one as well as the tale continues to be intriguing for what it is - a fictional account of the behind the scenes events in Heaven and Hell corresponding with the Bible. This tale truly moves into the fictional though as it begins to relate the days leading up to Armageddon and the years when the Anti-Christ will rule the earth. And while it is highly possible, we are in the middle of that era even now in the real world, the events here are obviously fictional at the moment, although eerily haunting in how close we are to this being what could happen. The technology that Alec describes for use by the forces of the Anti-Christ and his one-world government are very much in use today if not at the levels and purposes that Alec describes in this book. And the scenarios she relates for how everything plays out leading to a single government gaining control of the world are more plausible than not given the events in our world today. They say that life often imitates art especially when it comes to fiction eventually becoming reality in our world; I would say that Alec's vision of how the world might play out leading up to Armageddon should be enough to scare even the most ardent anti-conspiracy person.

This series of books by Wendy Alec, chronicles of brothers, are absolutely amazing, brilliant, gut-wrenching, ...I simply don't have the vocabulary to fully express how they speak to me. I have previously read books 1.fall of lucifer & 2. Messiah probably 3yrs ago now in paperback format. Just guessing I would think each book was near 300pages & I read both of these books in a 7 day period! My eyes were threatening to go on strike about day 6...ha ha. So now I've ordered book 3. Son of

Magnetic!!Could not put this book down!!! I didn't want it to end...so this is short as I'm downloading The Pale Rider!!!😄

The book focused more on the DeVere family, which confirmed my early suspicions about why the author focused on this family in the first place. I was thrown off by the new introduction of a new conspiracy-flavored vibe that fleshed out the details leading up to Armageddon. This vibe, however, is put to good use in the author's approach to DeVere family. Even if you doubt the whole "Illuminati-shadow government-Council of 13" stuff, the author's use of this theme is used to full dramatic effect.

For the first few pages, this was shaping up to be wonderfully lurid conspiracy theory, 9/11 was set up by the Illuminati controlling the world banking system as part of a supernatural pact - really no-holds-barred stuff. Then it starts talking religion, and you realise this is more of an End Times story in the Left Behind mould. It's still pretty fun in going absolutely all out on right-wing US talking points - the devil is apparently really into genetic modification, the IMF is an Illuminati

A true masterpiece on an epic scale. The Rise of the Antichrist in a way and spanning the centuries and the realms. I highly recommend this book and this series.

Micheal, Gabriel , Lucifer 3 brothers & one the anti-Christ - heaven & hell, palaces wealth - I love these books - is all this happening did this happen do we care great story great explanations of people in this fantasy?
