While rummaging around in the sale section of my local Waterstones store , I picked up Fated by SG Browne as the cover looked interesting and it was from an author that I had previoulsy read. A few years ago, I read 'Breathers: A Zombies Lament' and really enjoyed the mixed of a horror concept with laugh-out-loud narrative and story. Breathers told the tale from the view of a recently turned zombie, who is an outcast from society and has to live in his parents basement, as he attends meetings

But, sometimes, I stumble across a book that is so incredibly irritating and frustrating that I just cant keep reading. In my whole life, the number of books that I have DNFed can still be counted on one hand. So, needless to say, Im not very pleased to add another to the list. Unfortunately, this book irritated me

This was a really creative twist on Fate (pun intended...maybe). It was laugh out loud funny and I think I may have enjoyed it more than Browne's other book, Breathers. That's a toss up. I love me some Zombies. But my other love is mythology. I love the embodiments Browne gives so many of the concepts that exist in mythology. The love story between Fabio and Sarah is really sweet and realistic. The book does get dark but I think it comes out very hopeful. A highly enjoyable read.Updated
