I loved this story so much! Vanni lost her husband while he was at war and found comfort in his best friend. Though Paul has loved Vanni for years, and was the first person to lay eyes on her, he would give anything to have is best friend back! I'm DONE WITH VIRGIN RIVER. There is romance and then there is written porn. In my opinion these books are becoming more graphic in their descriptions of intimacy and I find it such a shame bc the storylines are so good. Robyn, maybe true rest of the world doesn't mind having Penthouse Forum sprinkled into these stories, but I do and really, WHY couldn't you tell these stories in a more tasteful way? Ok, I spoke too soon on my review of book 3. I really do enjoy when there are multiple plot lines running through a story. Especially when it's a series. I like to get all the other characters involved in more than just a passing glance. I stop enjoying it as much when the last 100 pages aren't focused on the primary characters of the book. Don't get me wrong... this book had me laughing and crying and I enjoyed it. My problem is that the Paul and Vanessa story line wrapped up rather quickly.

Well, not what I expected at all. This series has made a turn I'm not interested about. I really wanted to like this books because for me books 1,2 and 4 were amazing.
